Trending Now : Industrial Neutrals

Happy hump-day peeps! I want to start this post off with telling you how my Wednesday went: AMAZING. Not only was I able to shoot at one of the best studios in JAX but I had loads of great fits (supplied by gwen berlin) and an awesome photographer (Lindsay of She Consulting Group).

Now back to the studio- DeLo Studio. The environment was honestly a breathe of fresh air and a diamond in the rough located in the heart of Downtown Jacksonville. This space was filled with trending neon canvas' as well as drool over West Elm look-a-like custom furniture. Sounds like any girls dream, right?!

There are quite a few boutiques in the Jacksonville and Ponte Vedra Beach area, but none like gwen berlin. They are always on point with current denim and boho chic trends, as well as offering timeless and elegant options. It's truly a place one can refer to as a "one stop" shop. gwen berlin carries everything from undergarments and accessories to shoes and handbags, so anyone can find the whole ensemble here!

Being the train wreck and always running late gal I am, it's always nice to make one stop and be able to grab whatever I need to complete my fit all while trying not to buy everything in the store at the same time. I'm sure I'm not the only one either, so go check them out- you won't be disappointed!

Can we please talk about the lighting in ALL of these pictures!? It's not easy to come by an amazing photographer, but when you do, don't let her go! LOL. But seriously, Lindsay is killer at what she does. She is the founder of She Consulting Group (just another great business based out of Jacsksonville!) and it's all about fashion design and artful thinking. She Consulting offers personal styling, shopping, photography and interior decorating services- what's not to love?! It was a wonderful experience working with Lindsay and I can't wait for more to come in the future..so keep checking back for more;)

Trending Now : Anything Lace, Chambray, and Flowy with SMAC

In honor of it being Friday, I've saved a great post for you guys! I'm finally sharing and dishing out everything you need to know about a new online store: SMAC. Anytime I hear "online" I jump up and down on the inside because that is literally what 95% of my clothe shopping consists of being- online. Hence their motto, "the online shop for the feminine girl with an edge!"

Even though it's an online store, SMAC is based out of Jacksonville, FL and they stay very involved in the community. Their SMAC Society is the embodiment of a group to help empower one another, and they do just that! SMAC was created and started by three sisters and what better representation of a #girlgang than it being with your sisters? On a side note and just another perk to SMAC, all of their orders ship FREE + orders are packaged in their signature electric pink- so fun right!?

All of the clothes SMAC sent me I absolutely LOVED. Not only were they really cute, they were easily styled, which is great for some that don't have the extra time to put outfits together. Even though not everything I wear is super comfortable, I am such an advocate for comfortability (when I can get away with it) and all of these pieces were just that. The loose fitting, light and flowy features to the clothes were perfect! Use my code "Alexis10" for 10% off your purchase HERE!

Brand Spotlight : The Jetset Diaries

Hi peeps! I'm super super super excited to share with you guys this post, mainly because it's one of my first brand spotlight's of the year.  Sooooo, without further ado, the new year's first brand spotlight is... The Jetset Diaries! This trendy bohemian glam brand is quickly becoming one of my favorites. It is the perfect brand for all you (aspiring) jestsetters out there, whether it be in a dreamy Moroccan dessert or the fast-paced big city. I truly believe their clothing can be worn to any type of event because of its versatility and boho luxe feel.

The Jetset Diaries have built up this amazing brand with the influences of past and present jetsetters- exemplifying a free loving spirit. On the topic of free loving spirit, the location of this shoot replicated exactly that. It was a beautiful sunrise on a coastal Florida marsh with Stevie Nicks' melodies playing in the background- a dreamy set for an equally dreamy dress!

Happy New Year's!

Hi everyone! I hope you all had a fabulous Christmas + New Year's celebration the past couple weeks. I took an extended vacation from blogging and almost all things social media, but I'm baaaaaack. I am sad the holidays are over but I'm so excited for this New Year and the goals + projects coming up I'm working on.

Due to my family leaving the state to visit my sister, my fiancee and I spent Christmas with my best friend and her WHOLE family (who are truly amazing people and bomb hosts). It was nothing short of good red wine, cheese plates, homemade margaritas, oyster shooters, and fried duck. (Yuuuum right?!) Getting back to the cheese plate..I have to share with you the picture because it's just too good not to.

Pretty amazing right?

On a side note, I wanted to get some requests from my readers and ask if there is anything in particular you'd like to see me post about this year, as I set up my calendar for this upcoming year!? If so, just drop a comment below and let me know:)

Here's to an awesome year!!!

Blue Winter Hues | Meet Aubrey - Fellow Jacksonville Blogger

Hi peeps! I hope everyone is having a great Holiday Season and with Christmas just right around the corner I'm sure everyone has been in panic mode trying to finish their shopping. As most of you have seen my last Instagram posts you've seen me with a fabulous friend! Her name is Aubrey of Hello Alley and I got to meet with her and shoot some fun outfits we worked on a few weeks ago! It's so nice meeting others in the same city as you, doing the same thing you are, and just so happens to have similar style and ideas (YUP that's rare)!

With it being Winter, not necessarily Winter temps in FL, we decided on one of our outfits to reflect Blue Winter Hues which turned out AMAZING! Even though we were dyingggg + sweating during the shoot it still turned out great:)

Aubrey and I were both able to incorporate a good friend of mine's jewelry, Tangled Jewelry! Her pieces are so versatile and easy to pair & they went so well with our blue hues. Shown below, White Druzzy Ring & Suede Wrap Necklace. I mean how awesome are they!?!

Btw..stay tuned for more about the owner of Tangled Jewelry- I'm going to be doing a Girl Boss segment on Jordan + how she started and got to where she's at now. It's so impressive and inspirational to see women being their own boss and doing it in style;)

I got to do a little Q & A with Aubrey for all of you to get to know her better!

What motivates you as a blogger?

What motivates me as a blogger is getting emails from readers or having people come up to me in person and say: “I loved this blog post!” “Thank you for helping me buy all of my Christmas gifts through your gift guide the other day!” or “I bought my graduation dress from your blog post last week!” Basically, knowing that I am helping readers out there and that they appreciate it in return makes me the happiest person and motivates me to keep going every single day. I love engaging with readers of Hello Alley so don’t be shy!

.  How would you describe your style?

I would describe my style as one part classic and one part trendy! I love keeping my wardrobe very classic because it stays in style year after year, however throwing a trendy pair of shoes or a trendy bag into the mix keeps dressing up fun!

I try to do a lot all at once when I get the time. I am not blogging full time yet- I still have another full time day job, so I have to shoot my blog posts  and outfit pictures in bulk over the weekend so I have content for that next week. When I get home from work each night, I sit down on the couch with my laptop and start curating my posts for the rest of the week or work on some background business.

Can you name some of your favorite bloggers/style icons?

I have a few… Olivia Palermo is my number 1 style icon for sure! She represents the perfect combination of classic and trendy in her everyday outfits. Two ladies I would love to meet/ look up to in the blogging/fashion world would be Sazan Hendrix (beauty YouTuber and fashion blogger) Sazan is not afraid to be herself and I aspire to have that same confidence she has and Diane von Furstenberg. DVF is such an amazing woman and also creates a stunning collection every year. I would love to sit down and have lunch and maybe a cocktail or two with her ;)

What has been your greatest achievement with your blog since you started it?

As soon as I started my blog a little over a year ago I created a few goals for myself and my blog and every few months or so I would add to those goals as I saw myself growing. I have since then been able to check some of those accomplishments off of my list which is the coolest feeling in the world. I have new goals now going into my second year with Hello Alley and sometimes I do question if those dreams are too big, but I look back on what I have already accomplished and realize that it is completely attainable and that gives me the motivation I need to keep pressing forward and bettering my blog each and every day!

Now that you all got to read a little about Aubrey and got to know her a little better, go over to Hello Alley and give her a follow and check out all of her inspirational blog posts for life and fashion inspo! I always find it refreshing when I go to fellow bloggers sites and see what they're doing. It keeps ideas fresh in my mind and adds to current ones:)
